Typically, Barton students have a difficult time learning vocabulary via the traditional workbook. Below are some alternative ways that you can try to incorporate in your instruction of vocabulary. Remember, even if they aren’t able to read a book themselves, one of the best ways for people to learn vocabulary is through reading, so provide them with books on audio or spend time reading aloud as much as possible. If you have creative ways to teach vocabulary, feel free to share them with me at lweaver@covcs.org.
