How to Use a Text to Voice Software with the On-line School (OLS) 

Most text to voice software can be used with anything that can be highlighted. Unfortunately, the OLS for K-8 can't be highlighted but there is a work around. Read below for details.

 

STEPS:

 

  1. Sign up for a text to voice software like Natural Reader.
    2. a. NaturalReader(Free)- http://www.naturalreaders.com/index.htm
    b. Natural Reader (Discount through COVA): http://weaverclassblog.synthasite.com/confident-reader.php
     
  2. Go to the lesson on the OLS.
  3. Click on PRINT in the right hand corner.
  4. Check the box that says to print the whole lesson.
  5. You have now created a PDF that can be highlighted.
  6. Highlight the text and hit Ctrl F9 for Natural Reader and the text will be read outloud.
